Mukundgarh was founded in 1860 and is located near Nawalgarh. A popular delicacy is a unique native sweet manufactured especially in Mukundgarh.

The fort was built by Thakur Mukund Singh.

In 1994, it was refurbished and turned into a heritage hotel.
