Golden Triangle Tour: The heart and soul of North India Travel

India is the land of diversity and often the purpose of visit for many tourists is to soak in as much culture and tradition as they can. But it goes without saying that there is so much of incredible in India that it’s impossible to visit all of it. And for most people going around the globe, the vacation is mostly limited to 5-6 days.

This is why the Golden Triangle tour of 5 days and 4 nights is perfect for them. Beginning in Agra, followed by the national capital Delhi, ending up in the cultural city Jaipur, the tour covers all places traditional, modern, scenic beauties, includes iconic buildings and many different land topographies.

The first day of the tour is spent in the heart of the Mughal empires capital. Agra houses the known symbol of Love, the Taj Mahal that sits by the side of the river Yamuna, which runs its course through parts of Delhi, both cities that have also gained popularity because of the food they serve, especially for non-vegetarian eaters. Agra is also famous for its chaat, particularly from the Chaat Gali. Delhi has the best luxury hotels and resorts to make your vacation relaxing as well as affordable night homestays and youth hostels. It is ideal to spend your second and third days of the vacation here, but be advised to keep your sleep time to a minimum. Tour guides will take you through the periodic history of Indian reins and independence, with peaceful spots that will make it feel like time hasn’t moved since then and at times you will feel like the time in the city never stops.

You will get to experience the life of people that lived in the streets of Chandni Chowk 70 years ago and the lives of people that have changed the face of Information Technology around the world from the high rise towers of DLF, all in one city. You will eat street food from all over the country and some fusion foods that you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

When you move to Jaipur from here, you’ll see hills approaching. Forts and palaces made in pink stone will be visible from miles away and you’ll keep watching them until they are out of sight. It is mostly famous around the globe for the walled city, where all the buildings, whether they are houses or shops or historical sites, look ambient pink and are similarly adorned with lights that spark up the whole city. Spend your fourth day of the travel visiting places like the Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar which showcase excellent architecture not just in terms of aesthetics but also climatic and sustainable building design and town planning. The pink city also recently got cited as a World Heritage city by UNESCO.

A few kilometers west of Jaipur would take you to the Thar desert where you can spent a day and a night doing desert camping in the wild, eating authentic Rajasthani meals and enjoying camel safari. Just when all your sight-seeing is done and you remember to pick up some souvenirs for your friends, take a quick trip to Bapu bazaar and buy the most vibrant and colourful dupattas and lakh bangles for them.
